Karen Stevens Note Cards and Prints

Key West Artist, Karen Stevens, is a painter of tropical scenes and places.  These include points of interest in Key West, such as:  The Hemingway House, Smather's Beach, the Key West Butterfly Conservatory, Southernmost House, Southernmost Point, the Key West Light House, and Blue Heaven Restaurant.  She enjoys painting orchids, hibiscus, palm trees, boats and birds, iguanas, as well as parrot fish and tarpon in tropical seas.

During the hot and humid summer months, Stevens heads for a remote lake in the interior of Maine.  When there, she immerses herself in the moods of the water, the misty mountains, and the flora and the fauna which inhabit them.  Loons, frogs, dragon flies, and water lilies become her companions in water color, oils, and pastel.  After traveling 20 minutes north to Moosehead Lake, she finds fresh inspiration in the lakeside town of Greenville, Maine and a yellow sea plane over Mt. Kineo.

Growing up in the New Jersey Pine Barrens generates fond memories and colorful scenes of ruby cranberry bogs, the Jersey Shore, and canoeing the dark, cedar water of the rivers and streams.

Karen Stevens' water color and oils inventory would not be complete without some Historic Sites from her hometown of Philadelphia.  Included in these are bright renditions of Fairmount Park, Boathouse Row, the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion, and Wyck House.

All of Stevens' works are available in quality lithograph.  Each design con be purchased as an individual note card, a boxed set of note cards, a 5x7 or 8x10 signed Art Print.  Prints can be purchased matted or both matted and framed.
